RAVAGERS
Ravagers are a rabid punk rock and roll band from Baltimore Maryland. They have been ripping up a dust storm of debauchery for nearly a decade. Dressed in leather and denim, the Filth City foursome may look like menaces to society, but rest assured, their ferocious blend of punk fury and sneering rock ’n’ roll nonchalance make them a threat to not just the laws of man, but the laws of nature.
It’s easy to think of Ravagers as a group of rebel-rousing shit stirrers. Their songs evoke an attitude of manifest malfeasance. Lyrics often paint perilous, black landscapes akin to a Danzig wet dream. But at its core, Ravagers are here for a good time, and the brevity of their songs, blending elements of punk rock, glam rock, and post-punk, means they won’t be here for long. No tomorrow? No problem! Rather than extinguish the rising flames of hell, these guys prefer to throw a Molotov cocktail and raise a Natty Bo.
2025 sees the release of Baltimore’s Ravagers new record “On The Loose”. The 10 tracks that comprise the new record feature Ravagers signature rock n roll sound blending punk, with elements of glam, and hard rock. The band stays true to their aggressive sound while pulling new tricks out of their sleeves. The rhythm guitars are gritty yet clean, driving under leads that pull in catchy melodies through delayed goth overtones. The rhythm section works together between simple bashed out drumbeats and walking bass lines brought in by new bassist Sam Hariss. Alex Hagen’s vocals are versatile yet add a cohesive feel throughout the album with lyrics painting perilous pictures of urban decay, crime, frustration, and violence. The songs are executed flawlessly with impressive dynamic and attitude, each with their own unique sense of identity. Produced once again by Tuk Smith and Dan Dixon, this album is a raw, thrilling ride that’s sure to cement Ravagers as one of the most exciting bands in rock today. “On The Loose” holds on to everything the band has always encompassed: grim situations, high tension, and one hell of a good time.
