BEACH MOONSTERS

Groom Lake, 1962. Inspired by the success of Dick Dale, the king of surf music, the government decides to conduct secret experiments with the aim of creating extraordinary creatures. But the process goes wrong when the scientists try to connect the brains of 3 of them directly to the reverb of a Fender amp.

The legend has it that the 3 creatures found refuge in the famous Black Lagoon. The old-timers know that it’s best not to go near its shores after dark, otherwise you’ll become a meal for the creatures the locals call Beach Moonsters.

Beach Moonsters have forged a solid reputation as a live band, having played over 130 concerts since the release of their debut album Walk like a Moonster in 2023. The band’s sound breaks away from the canons of classic surf with a tendency to veer towards punk and rock’n’roll, while offering a journey through exotica and even oriental ambiences.

Their 2nd LP, Black Lagon Night Surfin’, mixed and mastered by Jim Diamond (Slift, White Stripes, New Bomb Turks, Johnny Mafia) is due out in March 2025 on Productions de l’impossible, Trash Wax, Strycknine and 98 décibels.
