For over 20 years, 8°6 CREW has been performing on the ska, reggae and punk-rock scenes of France and Europe. The solidity of its rhythm section, the generosity of its brass section and Charly’s hard-hitting lyrics forge the band’s identity.

Their influences include ska from the Two-Tone period of the ’80s (The Specials, Madness), Third Wave (The Busters, Mr Review, The Toasters) and, for reggae, the ’70s and ’80s of Sly & Robbie, the Twinkle Brothers, Toyan and Yellowman.

In recent years, 8°6 CREW has shared the stage with The Selecters, the Skatalites, The Aggrolites, The Upsessions, Lion’s Law, Derrick Morgan, Vibronics, Angelic Upstarts, The Toy Dolls, Los Tres Puntos, Bad Manners, Inner Terrestrials, Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs, Les Rats…

As for the band’s discography, the 3 albums and 2 ep are distributed in France (Upvr, Mass prod) and Germany (Grover), then throughout Europe by alternative distribution networks. Each time, they were enthusiastically received by the ska and reggae public, and by critics on fanzines, websites and radio stations specializing in these counter-cultures.
