ROSALIE CUNNINGHAM

Throughout a mélange of classic psych rock, prog and folk dappled with cabaret-like chutzpah, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rosalie Cunningham maintains a distinct persona. Following the breakup of Purson, her critically celebrated band, Cunningham forged a new path with 2019’s eponymous solo album. The Mercury Music Prize-nominated album was well received in major publications including Classic Rock, Mojo and Kerrang who gave stellar ratings in their uniformly positive reviews.

Cunningham also featured in a number of ‘Best of the Year’ polls. In Europe, popular German music magazine Eclipsed voted her album the year’s ninth best release, however, back home in the UK, Prog listed it as 2019’s third best album. Further accolades from Prog came when the magazine named Cunningham the “eighth greatest female musician of all time”.

Follow up album ‘Two Piece Puzzle’ was equally well received and led to Rosalie being voted #1 best female vocalist in the Prog magazine readers poll of 2022. The album is a heady mix of styles, all infused with Rosalie’s unique ability to entertain and enthral the listener. The quality of the song writing, her voice and performance and the sheer range of what is on offer makes Two Piece Puzzle a superb album from one of the biggest talents in the UK.

After a string of high-profile festival appearances and an extensive headline UK tour in support of Two-Piece Puzzle, Rosalie and the band are back on the road and hitting Europe and the UK in 2024.
