SONS OF THE CULTURE CLASH
Feat. Rudeboy & DJ DNA from Urban Dance Squad
Urban Dance Squad was a Dutch rap-rock band formed after what was initially intended to be a one-off jam session at a festival in Utrecht on December 20, 1986. The band consisted of a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer, a rapper, and a DJ. Their music is described as a mix of genres including funk, soul, heavy metal, hip-hop, reggae, jazz, and ska. Urban Dance Squad was one of the most popular Dutch bands of the 1990s, with five studio albums to its credit and numerous tours, notably in France, Germany, and the United States.
After the group split up in 2006, Silver Surfinger Rudeboy, Urban Dance Squad’s MC, will finally return to the stage with a full Urban Dance Squad set featuring a mix of the five albums the group recorded. Rudeboy won’t be the only one joining the party; he’ll be accompanied by the original DJ DNA, master of the turntables. After a successful tour of clubs and festivals over the past three years in France, Spain, Serbia, Belgium, and the Netherlands, the group will perform at only a few festivals in 2025.
In 2026, RudeBoy and DJ DNA return with their new project, SONS OF THE CULTURE CLASH. A new lineup, new tracks, but they still perform Urban Dance Squad classics for our greatest pleasure.
A new album is expected in September 2026.
